Strong sales underline the quality

The sales team have enjoyed a strong Summer and Autumn of sales leaving us with only 3 properties left to sell. We believe this reflects the high quality of finish that Eagle One Homes offer as well as the stunning views that every apartment enjoys.

Christmas Day swim!

Every Christmas Day at 11.00am on the dot, hundreds of people brave the cold waters off Exmouth Beach in front of the Clock Tower. Thousands turn out to support and watch the spectacle as the brave swimmers bedecked in all manner of costumes, as well as summer swimming wear, run on mass into the water with a huge spray of water. Stuart Lines provide passengers with a great view of the event from the water and the lifeboats, Exmouth Rowing Club and others provide safety support. Is this the biggest Christmas swim in the country? It certainly must be the most fun.

Terry and the team do it again!

Congratulations are once again in order for Terry Darville and the Exmouth Quay green fingers group, who once again received and award from the RHS for the gardens around Exmouth Quay.

George the Dolphin

George the friendly dolphin has been keeping the crew of an Exmouth fishing trawler company as they fished for scallops off Branscombe.

Spotted in nearby Beer last week, the 10 foot long dolphin, which craves human company, spent several hours shadowing the 15 metre trawler Sarah Jane , from Exmouth.

Skipper Geoff Ingram said witnessing the dolphin’s antics were a first in three decades of fishing. He said, "George spent several hours with us, at times surfacing right beside us.

When our dredges, which have orange floats to the back of them, came to the surface, he was following the gear just below the surface, chasing the orange floats - something I have never seen in over 30 years fishing out of Exmouth."

Carols on the quay

Carol singing returns to the marina this year and Exmouth Quay Residents' Association are welcoming families from all over the town to its open-air quayside carols concert.

On Sunday 18th December, Martin John Nicholls and the Exmouth Shanty Men will host quayside carols, a free, hour-long event in the marina near the Peter Dixon Chandlery.

The event will also feature Christmas poetry readings and local musicians and entertainers as well as traditional carol singing.

"It was a great success last year and we are delighted he has offered to stage it again this year. We are a new community at the marina and we look on this as an opportunity to share our Christmas entertainment with our friends from all around the town."

The event is starting earlier this year at 6pm to enable families to enjoy the occasion and visitors are being encouraged to bring along a lantern to add to the atmosphere.
